Why use CBD? What is the best CBD to use? How to use CBD? These are the question many people ask themselves. Some take CBD to help support specific reasons. Others take CBD in an effort to help support their overall wellbeing. Understanding the benefits of CBD and how it helps support wellbeing, you need to understand your body.
CBD is a compound called a cannabinoid. Cannabinoids work with a series of receptors in your body known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is involved in a lot of ways for supporting and regulating your body. Such as: regulating your anti-inflammatory response, immune system, appetite, mood, anxiety levels, sleep schedule and more. Basically, the ECS helps keep your body in balance (Homeostasis).
Homeostasis is the ability of the body to maintain equilibrium despite changes. This equilibrium is referred to as balance or Homeostasis. One's Homeostasis supports one's wellbeing (physical, mental, and even emotional health and wellness). People take CBD because they want to support their ECS, and any help it provides to wellbeing.
Your body makes its own cannabinoids, called endocannabinoids, that work with cannibinoid receptors in the body. CBD is a typeof phytocannabinoid. CBD is one of over a hundred types of phytocannabinoids found in hemp plants. CBD is not psychoactive so it does not get you "high", since it does not have the THC associated with marijuana.
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a self-regulating system of cannabinoid receptors that are located throughout the body. The ECS is involved in communicating with nearly every system of the body including the central nervous system, immune system and organs. The ECS is focused on supporting balance, called homestatsis, in the body.
These cannabinoid receptors play a pivotal role in physiological processes such as mood, memory and discomfort. There are two cannabinoid receptors - CB1 and CB2 that are located on cells throughout the body.
How does CBD work? CBD works in the Endocannabinoid system. The CBD receptors support balance and the CB1 and CB2 receptors work to provide health.
CB1 receptors are primarily located on nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord and central nervous system. They are very abundant in the cerebellum, basal ganglia, and hippocampus. CB1 receptors have been found to play a role in memory processing, motor regulation, discomfort sensation, mood, and sleep. CB2 receptors are primarily found on cells in the immune system and its associated structures. When activated, they stimulate a response that fights inflammation, which can reduce discomfort and minimize damage to tissues.

Cannabinoids help support the coordination and regulation of how we feel and think by binding with the endocannabinoid system's CB1 and CB2 receptors. Cannabinoids are designed to link together with the cannabinoid receptors, like a key to a lock. CBD is one of the primary cannabinoids found in hemp.
Linking activates the receiving neuron into action, triggering a set of events to pass along the message and carry out a variety of cellular responses needed for homeostasis and healthy functioning.
How does CBD work? Does CBD really work? How do I know CBD works? CBD works in the Endocannabinoid system. The CBD receptors support balance through the CB1 and CB2 receptors for health.
